For art and culture, there are are a few museums & gallerys.
The Maritime Museum in Fremantle, the Art Gallery of WA in Northbridge and for contemporary art there’s PICA (Perth Institue for Contemporary Art) also in Northbridge.
Kings Park offers a great view of the city & river, and has alot of the wildflowers and other flora of Western Australia.
If you want to see some astonishing beaches (the way you’ve always dreamt of them), go to Rottnest Island. It’s only one ferry ride away from Fremantle or the CBD.
There are also great beaches available on the mainland. Try Cottesloe Beach, which is reachable by train or bus number 102 from the CBD.
There is one museum, the Western Australia museum at Francis St. (+61 8 9328 4411).
The London Court, the Tudor Style shopping arcade, is worth a visit as well.

The War Memorial
With a lovely location in Kings Park, which overlooks the Swan River and the City, the War Memorial is a sobering place as well, to contemplate the cost of war in terms of lives lost.
